Docs

Everything the chart does, and how its indicators are worked out.

Getting started

Open the chart from the top bar (Chart). It starts on Bybit's BTCUSDT perpetual at one minute; Binance's BTCUSDT perpetual (USDⓈ-M) and spot are there too, with their order books, and OKX's BTCUSDT perpetual and spot with prices only (no order book, heatmap or 1 s book). It remembers everything you change: markets, timeframes, indicators, drawings, windows and colors, in this browser and, when you're logged in, with your account, so another computer opens the same. Prices and the order book stream live; history loads as you scroll back. The menu at the top left leads back to the site's pages; a middle click or Ctrl + click opens one in a new tab and leaves the chart open.

The chart works without an account. Some data needs one (see What needs an account).

The top bar

  • Menu: the site's pages (home, these docs, pricing, account).
  • Market: exchanges on the left, then a search and a filter by type (spot, linear and inverse contracts). Drag its bottom right corner to make the list larger; it keeps that size.
  • Timeframes: see Timeframes.
  • Chart type: candles, hollow candles (border and wicks only), Heikin Ashi or bars; on second timeframes also "Connect seconds" (each candle opens at the previous close, so quiet seconds don't leave gaps). The eye after the chart's title hides the candles, leaving the heatmap, indicators and drawings.
  • ƒx: add an indicator, by group or by search (resizable like the market list).
  • Layout: 1 chart, 2 side by side, 2 stacked, 3 (one on the left, two stacked on the right) or 4. Charts taken away are kept and come back with their view when the layout grows again.
  • Workspace: switch between saved workspaces, start a new one, rename or delete.
  • Windows: open or close the Tools, Objects, Settings and Order book windows.
  • Connection: whether the live stream is connected.

When the bar doesn't fit, scroll it sideways with a middle drag or its arrows.

Timeframes

The stored timeframes are 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 1D, 1W and 1M (weeks start on Monday, months on the 1st, all in UTC). Admins also get 1s (the last 6 hours).

Times are shown in UTC at first. The corner under the price axis shows the shown zone's offset (UTC+3) and picks another time zone: one row per offset in use, from UTC+0 east to UTC+14 and on from UTC-12, each a city with its offset now (London, New York, Tokyo, ... keep their summer time) or the bare offset where no city is listed, or this computer's zone; also in Settings. The time now in that zone ticks at the top right, next to the connection. Candles, sessions and everything stored stay in UTC, only what is shown moves. The same corner (and a right click on the time axis) has "Go to": pick a day in the calendar and the hour and minute, or type a date (2026-10-21, or 2026-10-21 14:30 in the shown zone), and the chart jumps there (a double click on a day jumps at once; the last five jumps are listed under Recent); a date before the market's history shows its oldest candles, with a note that there is nothing older; further back than loaded it loads the candles around that time and newer ones as you scroll right, until it reaches the present and goes live again ("Back to live" does it at once). Indicators of paged series (open interest, mark / index, the ratio) fill in the newer part once the chart is live again.

Your own timeframes

The ▼ after the timeframes adds your own: a number and a unit (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months; seconds up to 59 for admins). They show among the others by length, in every workspace, until you remove them with ✕ in that menu. Whole hours, days and weeks are named as such (120 minutes becomes 2h).

A custom timeframe is built from the largest stored one that divides it: 45m from 15m candles, 36h from 4h, 7m from 1m. Everything follows: history, the live candle, the derivative series, the heatmap (the coarsest stored heatmap that divides it) and the order flow.

Mouse and keys

Left drag
Moves the chart (any pane); on a drawing it moves the drawing; on a selected drawing's handle it reshapes it (rectangles by any corner).
Ctrl + left drag
Selects drawings in a rectangle; Ctrl + click adds or removes one.
Wheel
Zooms around the pointer, time and that pane's prices together.
Right drag
Scales around the clicked point: up / down stretch or compress the prices, left / right the time.
Right click
On an axis or the legend: its options (an axis' are that chart's own: "For all charts" passes them on, "Default" goes back to Settings'). With a drawing tool picked: back to the cursor.
Price / time axis drag
Scales the prices / the time; a middle drag slides them.
Middle drag
Moves the chart; on the top bar it scrolls the bar sideways.
Borders
The gaps between charts and between panes can be dragged.
Double click
Resets the view; on an indicator pane or a price axis it fits that (up to half a second between the clicks).
Chart title drag
With several charts: swaps charts, or puts one beside another.
Tools
Right click a tool button for the other tools of its kind.
Objects
Click selects and edits; double click or F2 renames; lock, hide and delete on the right.
Order book
Click a level to show its price on the chart; double click keeps it as a line.
Del / Esc
Deletes the selection / cancels.
Ctrl + C / X / V
Copies, cuts and pastes drawings (onto the active chart).

Windows and docking

Tools, Objects, Settings and the Order book are windows. Each floats over the charts or docks beside them; the ⋯ button or a right click on a window has its options (size, where it lives, frozen, close).

  • Docking: drag a window by its grip (the dotted handle) and let go near the charts' edges: left, right, top or bottom make a column or row, the corners one that keeps its height or width. Where two charts meet, the window goes between them.
  • Screen edge: dragging any window to the very edge of the screen makes a new outermost column or row.
  • Tabs: let go on another window's header to make it a tab of that window.
  • Resizing: drag the edges between docked windows; edges that meet move together, hold Ctrl to move one alone.
  • Frozen: a frozen window doesn't move or resize by accident; its grip unfreezes it.

The Tools window lays its buttons out in a row, a column or a grid, whatever fits its size.

Drawing tools

Pick a tool in the Tools window (right click a button for the others of its kind), then click on the chart. Drawings are tied to time and price, so they stay put when you zoom; each has a color, width, name, and can be locked (also from the small bar over a selected drawing) or hidden in the Objects window. Each tool remembers its own color and width: a new trend line gets the color and width last picked for a trend line, a new rectangle those of the rectangles.

  • Lines: trend line, ray, horizontal line, horizontal ray, vertical line.
  • Shapes: rectangle.
  • Fib & positions: Fibonacci retracement, long and short position (entry, target and stop with the risk / reward and a size from your account and risk).
  • Brushes: brush and a see through highlighter.
  • Text: a text at a point. It keeps its size relative to the chart, like a brush stroke: zoomed out it gets smaller, zoomed in larger (by both axes together; never smaller than 4 or larger than 200 points); a size set in its settings is its size as it looks then.
  • Measure: the price change, its percent, the candles and the time between two points.
  • Fixed range volume profile (right click the Measure button): two clicks set a time range; the volume profile of its candles is drawn from its left edge, like the visible range profile (footprints where recorded, else estimated, POC in the drawing's color, value area, buys / sells). Moved and resized by its handles, locked like any drawing; its rows, width, value area, POC and buys / sells in its settings.
  • Wall profile (right click the Measure button; needs the Order flow overlay): a vertical line adding up the walls standing at its moment, as the overlay shows them (its minimum sizes, quick pulls hidden or not): a bar per price from the line (bids then asks, in the overlay's colors, the largest as long as you set), the total asks above its top end and the total bids below its bottom end (right of the line; a side with none isn't shown; on / off, their size and colors in its settings), and, pointing at the line, a box with the moment, the bids and asks in dollars, their ratio and how many walls. Left of the newest candle it is a snapshot of that moment; right of it, it is live: the walls standing now, keeping its distance from the newest candle as new ones come (dragged across the newest candle it switches). Its top and bottom handles limit it to a price range (dragged back to the pane's edge, or "Whole range" in its settings: no limit); the line answers the pointer only within it, and its box shows the range. Pointing at a bar lists its price, bids and asks and each wall there: its side, value, since when and how long it stood. Walls younger than 15 s aren't walls yet, so a live line leaves them out.

Drawings belong to their market: switching markets keeps each market's drawings for when you come back. Several can be grouped into folders in the Objects window.

Workspaces and themes

A workspace is everything on the screen: layout, charts, indicators, drawings, windows and colors. The current one is saved in this browser every few seconds; give it a name in the workspace menu to keep several. Logged in, your workspaces, themes, kept colors, own timeframes and menu sizes are also kept with your account a couple of seconds after each change, and another computer opens them when the chart starts (a change made on both keeps the newer one).

Settings has the theme (Dark, Light, Black or your own; the chart's theme is its own, the site's switch in the top bar doesn't change it), every color of the chart and the interface, the axes (with the countdown in the last price box, under the price: the time left until the candle closes, on or off and its size; for every chart without its own: a chart's own axes come from a right click on its axis or dragging its width), the legend, the interface scale and the mouse help.

A click on any color opens its picker: the gradient with the current color on top, your own colors (the first row) and the presets under it, then opacity and the hex code. Every change applies at once. A preset picked shows in the gradient to adjust, the preset itself stays; one of your own colors picked changes along with it. "Keep" adds the current color to your own, a right click on one of them sets it to the current color.

Indicators

Indicators are added from ƒx. Those drawn over the candles share their price scale; the others get a pane below, which can be resized, minimized, maximized or moved up and down. Those over the candles are listed in the legend and move up and down with ▲ ▼ (or by dragging their name): a lower row is drawn over the ones above it; the heatmap always stays behind the candles. The gear next to an indicator's name opens its settings; the eye hides it. The small triangle above their names folds the names away (the indicators stay drawn); folded it points right with how many there are, a click opens them again.

Event indicators (the order flow overlay, liquidations, large trades) have minimums that hide the small ones, tell what they are when you point at them, and can raise an alert: switch on "Alert on new ones" in their settings and every new one from the minimum on shows a note in the top right corner of the chart for 15 seconds; clicking it shows the event on the chart.

Price

Simple moving average (SMA)

The average close of the last N candles, drawn over the candles.

How: Sum of the last N closes divided by N; nothing is drawn until N candles exist.

Settings: Period (SMA 20 and SMA 50 in the menu, any length in its settings), color, line width.

Exponential moving average (EMA)

A moving average that weighs recent closes more, so it turns sooner than the SMA.

How: Starts from the SMA of the first N closes, then each close moves it by 2 / (N + 1) of the difference.

Settings: Period (EMA 21 and EMA 200 in the menu), color, line width.

Relative strength index (RSI)

Momentum from 0 to 100 in its own pane, with lines at 30 and 70.

How: Wilder's RSI: average gains against average losses over N candles, smoothed the way Wilder did.

Settings: Period (14), colors of the line and the 30 / 70 levels, width.

Volume

Traded volume per candle as bars, colored like the candle (rising / falling).

How: The exchange's volume of the candle (coins for linear and spot, contracts for inverse).

Settings: Colors of rising and falling bars.

Volume (on chart)admins for now

The same volume bars, drawn along the bottom of the price pane behind the candles instead of in a pane of their own.

How: The exchange's volume of the candle; the tallest bar in view reaches the set share of the pane's height.

Settings: Colors of rising and falling bars, height (share of the pane).

HTF Candlesadmins for now

The newest candles of a higher timeframe (4h at first) drawn wide to the right of the live candle, so a 5 minute chart also shows where the 4 hour candle opened, how far it ranged and where it stands now.

How: Built from the chart's loaded candles; a higher timeframe candle that starts before the oldest loaded one is drawn faded (scroll back to load the rest).

Settings: Timeframe (any longer than the chart's, also your own), how many (1 to 10), width and spacing (in candles), distance from the live candle, colors of rising, falling and the wicks.

Profiles

Volume profile (visible range)

How much traded at each price over the candles in view, as bars at the chart's right edge (or left): taker buys and sells apart, the point of control (POC, the price with the most volume) as a line and the value area (the prices around the POC holding 70 % of the volume, edged VAH / VAL) at full color, the rest fainter. It follows the view as you pan and zoom.

How: From the server's footprints (the taker volume at each price of every candle, stored since it started recording, so exact and with the buyers and sellers known); where a candle has none (older history, the forming candle) its volume is spread evenly over its high - low, in a neutral color, and the legend says it's partly estimated. Rows are round price steps for about the number of rows you set, never finer than the footprints' buckets. The value area grows from the POC two rows at a time, the larger pair first.

Settings: Rows, width, value area on / off and its share, POC on / off, buys / sells apart, left or right side, colors (buys, sells, estimated volume, POC, value area edges), POC line width.

Session volume profile

A volume profile per session, drawn inside it from its first candle: the POC and the value area's edges (VAH / VAL) across the session, naked POCs (a session's POC that no later candle traded at, dashed on until one does: prices the market may come back to) and optionally the developing POC (where the POC was after each candle).

How: Built like the visible range profile (footprints where recorded, else estimated from candles) for every session of the loaded candles from 20 sessions before the view on, so naked POCs from earlier sessions reach in. Sessions are UTC days from 00:00 at first; another start time, weeks from Monday or custom hours each day (e.g. 13:30 - 20:00, past midnight when the end is before the start) in its settings. Finished sessions are computed once.

Settings: Sessions (daily, weekly, custom hours) and their start / end time, rows, width (a share of the session), value area on / off and its share, POC, naked and developing POC, buys / sells apart, colors.

TPO (Market Profile)

Each session cut into periods (30 minutes at first), each a letter (A, B, C, ... then a, b, c) placed at every price its range traded at, side by side per price: where the market spent its time. The point of control (the price with the most letters) and the value area (70 % of the letters around it, edged VAH / VAL), the initial balance (the first hour's range: a bar at the session's left and its edges), single prints (prices inside the profile only one period traded at, highlighted: fast moves the market may come back to fill), poor highs / lows (an extreme two or more periods traded at: an auction that didn't finish, often revisited), the open (a tick left of the session) and close (one at its end), the midpoint of the range (dashed), naked POCs dashed on until traded at and the TPO counts above / below the POC.

How: From the chart's candles only (no footprints needed): each period's high and low mark its rows, rows are round price steps for about the number set. A period is never shorter than the chart's candles (a 1 hour chart has 1 hour periods). Letters show where they fit, blocks otherwise; zoom in to read them.

Settings: Sessions (daily, weekly, custom hours) and their start / end, the period (5, 15, 30, 60 min), the initial balance's periods, letters or blocks, colored by period, rows, width (a share of the session), value area on / off and its share, POC, naked POC, single prints, poor highs / lows, open / close, midpoint, TPO counts, every color.

Order flow

Heatmap

The resting order book behind the candles: for every candle the size waiting at each price when it closed, bright where large orders sat.

How: The server takes the order book at every candle's close into price buckets of about 0.0125 % of the price (never finer than the tick). It is stored for some timeframes (1m, 5m, 15m and 1h for popular markets); other timeframes show the coarsest stored one that divides them (a 45 minute chart the 15 minute columns, its last column per candle). Admins also see the forming candle live from the book and the 1 second book on the 1s chart. Zoomed out, cells merge (2, 4, 8 … candles and buckets, the largest size of the candles in a cell) so it stays smooth.

Settings: Gradient from small to large sizes, or bids and asks in their own colors; a minimum size (also per range of timeframes), in the market's own size unit and kept per unit: coins on linear and spot markets (every exchange's BTCUSDT shares the BTC values), USD on inverse ones (every BTCUSD shares its own), so switching a chart's market brings the values that fit it; the size of the hover window that shows the numbers around the pointer (the hovered cell also in the other unit: dollars for coin sized markets, coins for inverse ones, at a size of its own; only inside the range below; next to a long event summary it moves to the summary's side); where it is drawn: switch on "handles" for two small triangles on the price pane's bottom border (the time axis, or the border to the panes under it), each with a faint line up to the prices (drag them; the right one follows the newest candle until dragged off it; hidden again, the range they set stays), or a lookback of the last N candles; "All" goes back to all of it.

Cumulative delta

The running total of taker buys minus taker sells: rising while buyers lift the asks, falling while sellers hit the bids. Divergences from the price are what to look for.

How: Each candle's delta (taker buy volume - taker sell volume, from the trade stream) added up from the first loaded candle on, so its level is relative; only its shape matters. A minute the trade stream didn't see from its start has no delta and adds nothing.

Settings: Line or candles, color, line width.

Cumulative delta as candles

The cumulative delta as candles: each opens where the sum was before the candle and closes where it got to, so a candle's body is that candle's delta.

How: The same data as the line (switch in the indicator's settings or with the icon next to its name); the sum's path inside a candle isn't known, so there are no wicks.

Settings: Colors of rising and falling candles.

Footprint

Each candle's trades by price (a cluster chart): per price row two columns, the taker sells as a bar to the left of the middle and the buys to the right (their numbers on them when zoomed in), or the row's delta or volume, colored by delta, by volume or only where imbalanced, beside a thin candle. Imbalances: a row's buys at least 300 % of the sells one row lower (buyers lifting the ask harder than sellers hit the bid a row below), sells at least 300 % of the buys one row higher, highlighted on their side; three or more in a row are stacked imbalances, drawn as zones on to the middle of the candle where the price trades back in (levels the market often defends), also from candles scrolled off to the left. Each candle's POC is framed, an unfinished auction (its top or bottom row traded on both sides) marked, its volume, delta and delta % written under it.

How: From the server's footprints (stored since it started recording, in buckets of about 0.0125 % of the price per minute, wider on longer timeframes); candles without one show as normal candles. The forming candle is filled from its minutes already stored (about every 30 s) and, for admins, the current minute live. A candle whose own footprint wasn't built (a minute of it wasn't recorded, e.g. while the server restarted) is built from the minutes there are, a little fainter and marked "partial". Numbers show where the rows are tall and wide enough (zoom in), colors otherwise. The regular candles aren't drawn where a cluster is (the eye after the title hides them all).

Settings: Rows show sells x buys, delta or volume; colored by delta, volume or imbalances only; rows ×1 / ×2 / ×5 / ×10 of the stored bucket; the imbalance ratio and its least volume; stacked zones and from how many rows; POC, candle, volume / delta, unfinished auctions; colors.

Volume delta

Each candle's taker buy minus sell volume as bars above (buyers ahead) or below zero (sellers ahead).

How: From the trade stream like the cumulative delta; custom timeframes add up their pieces' deltas.

Settings: Colors of buyer and seller bars.

Order flowadmins for now

What the server found in the trades and the book, drawn with the heatmap: walls as lines over their life (✕ where one was pulled, a dot where it was traded away, likely spoofs in their own color; a short vertical mark instead of the ✕ where a wall was pulled just before the price reached it), icebergs as outlined bands, absorption as brackets, sweeps as bars over the prices they ate, the same size again and again as dotted boxes. Each kind can be switched off and has its own minimum value. Walls are colored from their small color to their full one and drawn thicker the larger they are, against all the walls loaded (zooming doesn't change the colors; lines and their end marks keep their proportion to the candles, never thinner than a pixel). Pointing at events lists every one under the pointer, largest first, after a summary per kind and side (how many and their value together). Ends are drawn where they happened inside their candle (a wall pulled 2 minutes into a 5 minute candle ends a little before its middle). A wall the server saw again after a restart is one line, from when it first stood to its real end (unless the price got through its level or more than 3 % away in between: then the later wall is another one); one whose end it never saw ends at the middle of the first candle that traded through it or moved more than 3 % away.

How: The server watches every tracked market's trades and book and keeps what it finds; each kind below has its own rule. Pointing at events lists every one under the pointer, largest first, after a summary per kind and side (how many and their value together).

Walls

A level within 3 % of the price at least 10x the median level size within 1 % of it, among the largest 0.5 % of those and above the wall value, that stood at least 15 s (market makers' quotes come and go far faster); its line runs from when it appeared until it was pulled (at least 50 % gone in one change while little traded there; ✕), traded away (trades hit it as it went, or at least 50 % of its largest size traded there while it stood: eaten bit by bit, the last of it cancelled; a dot), faded (shrank away in small cancels), left behind by the price, or lost (the exchange's book feed had a gap or reconnected and the wall wasn't there after it: gone by then, how unknown) (walls that lived less than 10 s are drawn only when pulled). Walls that appeared further than 1 % away (the outer band, up to 3 %) are reported from their own busy-hour size (about 6 a minute), so large far orders don't push out the walls near the price. How far that reaches depends on the exchange's book: Binance sends its whole book, Bybit's linear BTCUSDT book reaches only about 0.25 % from the price. Colored from their small color to their full one and drawn thicker the larger they are, against all the walls loaded (zooming doesn't change them).

Likely spoofs

A wall pulled within 0.3 % of the price less than 60 s after it appeared, the price having come at least 50 % closer to it since: a wall pulled as the price came at it, not a quote moved about. Drawn in its own color.

Pulled before touch

A shown wall pulled and then reached by a trade at its price within 10 s: its line ends in a short vertical mark instead of the ✕, where it was pulled (inside its candle when the pull and the touch fell in the same one; alone at the pull when its line isn't loaded); its hover says how soon the price came. The chart marks those within the time you set (0.5 to 10 s, 3 s at first); a marked wall is shown even when quick pulls are hidden.

Icebergs

A price that traded at least 2x the most it ever showed and refilled at least 2 times, until trading there stopped for 10 s. An outlined band.

Absorption

Within 10 s of the first trade into a level, at least 3x its average visible size traded into it while nothing traded beyond it. A bracket.

Sweeps

One taker order: the fills of the same side in the same millisecond added up, reported 500 ms after its last fill. A bar over the prices it ate.

Same size

A size with at least 3 significant digits (0.1234, not 0.5, which people type), or sizes within ±2 % of it (one player changing each order a little), added to the book or traded at least 20 times within 60 s, each repeat worth at least 1/100 of the order threshold and the run together at least the order threshold. A dotted box; shown up to the tolerance you set.

Sizes that count

Sizes are judged in USD: an order counts from the market's large trade value (e.g. $250k for BTC), else from $100k / $25k / $5k for popular / standard / long tail markets; a wall from 4x that. These are minimums: in a busy market sweeps, same size runs and walls show only from the size that about 4 / 2 / 6 of them a minute reached over the last 60 minutes on that market, so a busy hour shows the large ones, not more of everything (each market by its own trading, so a size can show on one exchange and not on a busier one). For the first 15 minutes after the server starts only the minimums apply.

Settings: Each kind on or off with its own minimum value; walls pulled soon after they appeared hidden (within a time you set: seconds, from a minute on minutes; 30 s at first), except those with a "pulled before touch" mark; "pulled before touch" marks on or off, for walls the price reached at most a time you set after they were pulled (0.5 to 10 s, 3 s at first); same size runs shown up to a tolerance (exact, ±0.1 %, ±0.5 %, ±1 %, ±1.5 % or ±2 %, each taking in the tighter ones; ±1 % at first); walls by size (color and width) on or off; colors of walls on bids / asks and of small walls on bids / asks, likely spoofs, icebergs, absorption, sweeps (buys / sells) and same size runs; line width; the details window's size; alerts (walls stacked or pulled, icebergs, absorption, sweeps, same size runs).

Book imbalanceadmins for now

Which side of the book is heavier near the price, from -1 (only asks) to 1 (only bids), in its own pane.

How: Every second: (bids - asks) / (bids + asks) of the sizes within 0.5 % of the mid price, stored as minute candles and built up into every timeframe; the line is each candle's close.

Settings: Colors of the line and the zero line, width.

Liquidations

Positions the exchange closed (derivative markets), as markers sized by value: longs closed and shorts closed in their own colors.

How: Every liquidation from the exchange's stream, at the price it was closed at. Binance streams at most one a second per market (the largest), so its markers miss some in a cascade.

Settings: Colors, a minimum value, alerts.

Large trades

Single trades from the market's large trade value (and block trades), as bubbles sized by value and colored from small to large.

How: Every trade of the stream at or above the threshold; unlike sweeps these are single fills.

Settings: Colors of buys and sells and of small buys and sells, color by size on or off, the bubbles' size, the details window's size, a minimum value, alerts and the alert notes' size.

Derivatives

Open interest

The open contracts of a derivative market, as a line in its own pane.

How: Live from the exchange's ticker each minute, history from its 5 minute samples (built into every timeframe). Values built from samples are marked sampled. On second timeframes (admins) the last 6 hours are stored every second; further back each second shows its minute (faded), and between two ticker values a second holds the last one (Binance's open interest changes every 5 seconds). Mark and index price work the same, from their minutes and the live ticker.

Settings: Line or candles, colors, width.

Open interest as candles

Open interest as candles (open, high, low, close per candle), sampled ones faded.

How: The same data as the line; switch in the indicator's settings.

Settings: Colors of rising and falling candles.

Funding rate %

The last settled funding rate in percent at each candle, with a zero line.

How: Every settlement from the exchange; a candle shows the rate in force at its close.

Settings: Colors of the line and the zero line, width.

Mark price

The exchange's mark price (what liquidations use), over the candles.

How: Live from the ticker, history from the exchange's mark price candles.

Settings: Color, width.

Index price

The index price (the spot markets' average the contract follows), over the candles.

How: Live from the ticker, history from the exchange's index price candles.

Settings: Color, width.

Premium index

How far the contract trades above or below its index (Bybit and Binance linear contracts; OKX has no premium candles), in its own pane.

How: The exchange's premium index candles.

Settings: Colors of the line and the zero line, width.

Long / short accounts

The share of accounts holding longs (0 to 1, with a line at 50 %).

How: The exchange's long / short account ratio, published every 5 minutes.

Settings: Colors of the line and the 50 % line, width.

Heatmap and order book

The heatmap shows where orders rested over time (see Heatmap). Pointing at it opens a small window with the bid and ask sizes around that price and candle.

The Order book window shows the live book (admins until the tiers): sizes per level with the depth behind them, grouped by a step you choose per market (×1 up to ×100 of the tick). Clicking a level flashes its price on the chart, a double click keeps it as a line.

How deep the book goes depends on the exchange: Bybit sends 1000 levels a side, Binance its whole book. OKX markets show prices only for now. Sizes are always in the coin, also where the exchange counts contracts (OKX).

Order flow

The server watches every tracked market's trades and order book around the clock and keeps what it finds: sweeps, icebergs, walls over their whole life, absorption, the same size again and again, and the book's imbalance; the Order flow overlay draws them with the heatmap. Because it never stops watching, these have history, also from before you opened the chart, and everyone sees the same events.

How fills are told from cancels

The book arrives in batches: Bybit sends the 1000 level book every 200 ms and, for popular markets, the top 50 levels every 20 ms (used near the price). Each batch is compared with the trades since the one before at each price: a level that shrank by more than traded there was partly cancelled, one that is back after being traded was refilled. Trades that reach the server more than 1 s after the book has moved on (their stream fell behind in a burst) aren't compared with the book at all: met with a later book they would look like refills (a false iceberg) or make a pulled wall look traded away.

What it can't see

Orders placed and cancelled inside one batch never show, so icebergs and spoofs are estimates at that granularity; every order flow tool working from exchange feeds has the same limit. The trade and book streams aren't perfectly in step, so trades are matched to the first book change at or after their time. While the stream reconnects nothing is detected; the watch of the levels starts over with the next full book.

How long it is kept

Order flow events are kept 365 days for popular markets, 180 for standard and 90 for long tail ones; the book imbalance as long as the mark price.

What needs an account

The chart, the stored timeframes, the heatmap, the derivatives' series, liquidations, large trades and the deltas are open to everyone. Until the plans are live, the 1 second data, the live order book and the order flow (sweeps, icebergs, walls, absorption, same size and book imbalance) are for admins; they show greyed out in ƒx otherwise. See Pricing for what the plans will include.
